advertisement

Washington Redskins' Safety Sean Taylor is now conscious and responding to simple commands after a pre-dawn shooting that severed his femoral artery, caused massive loss of blood and took many hours of surgery to repair. Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

What is the deal with Miami Hurricane alumni and criminal conduct and/or being the target of criminal conduct?

P.S. I am a Miami Redhawk, not a Miami Hurricane.

Losing someone with so much life ahead of them is a tragedy. Sean Taylor may not have been perfect, but who is. Being a Huge Redskins fan , I and the whole Redskins family are saddened by this horrible incident. I pray for his family. I also pray for the world and the different people who live in it. We need to love, not hate. Most importantly we need to appreciate life and others. Redskin nation has lost not just a player, but a brother.

Indeed. It is such a sad situation. Especially now that it has come to light that Taylor was likely the target of someone that intended to kill him as well as having to use a machete rather than a handgun because he had rashly threatened someone he believed stole from him with a handgun and his probation prevented him from having one. Taylor would have had the option to stay back from the door if he'd had a handgun. Sad, unfortunate and unnecessary. This is a good reminder of how brutal and short life can be.
